The Wargame
Overview
In a fictional near-future Britain, the series imagines how the government would react if Russia launched an attack on UK soil. Actual former politicians, military commanders, and intelligence chiefs—among them Michael Gove, Nicola Sturgeon, and Penny Mordaunt—take on central roles inside a COBR-style crisis chamber. Mixing documentary with drama, the show offers viewers a behind-the-scenes view of how top-level decisions get made when national security is on the line.
